Craft Night...May & June

....and the tradition continues.

taaa daaa! it was time for me to hold a craft night so i finally committed. thanks to my sister for the "idea" ;)
the best part was that my craft only cost $2 to make. $1 for the wreath and $1 for the old paperback from the thrift store. bargains rule!!!

More Golf...

for the record. WE WERE FREEZING!!! notice the plethora of snow in the next picture?! yeah...

Exactly...(Just Watch Minute 2:25 to 2:55 BTW)

now don't worry. i'm not all depressed or suicidal but when i saw and heard this, the only word that came to mind was "exactly". just watch from minute 2:25 to minute 2:55. those 3o seconds say exactly what i have thought a few times and people just don't understand. for that i am glad because i would NEVER wish this "understanding" on anyone. being a vibrant soul in a injured body can suck. not all days but some....

"Pain"...

pain comes in all kinds of forms. the small twinge. a bit of soreness. the random pain. the normal pains that we live with every day.

then there is the kind of pain that you can't ignore. a level of pain that is so great that it blocks out everything else. it makes the rest of the world fade away until all we can think about is how much we hurt.

how we manage our pain is up to us. embrace it, ride it out, ignore it, and for some of us the best way to manage our pain is to just push through it. we just have to ride it out and hope that it goes away on its own. hope that the wound that caused it will heal.

there are no easy solutions. no easy answers. you just breath deep and wait for it to subside. sometimes you even have to fight through it because you can't out run it and unfortunately life always makes more.

just continue to laugh and continue to smile because eventually that's how you'll really feel.

Working TOGETHER...

this summer i have put a huge emphasis on daily jobs that must be done before any fun. so far my kids have done an awesome job! the only thing that we have had a hard time with, is doing jobs TOGETHER. carter is a huge teaser. kindra is very stubborn. they are both very impatient. basically, they are completely MY kids. the other day after a very chaotic morning, i gave them one task to do, working TOGETHER, without any contention. usually watering the garden and the flowers is a job that rotates between the two of them but on this day, they both had to do it. off they went, both being very bitter. i snuck out to watch and to snatch some photos. they were actually DOING IT...HAPPILY!!! (is it bad to say that i was actually shocked?!? i mean, i knew that they COULD do it but i didn't know if they WOULD do it....)

and waaaah laaaah. this is now the new TOGETHER job! ;)
