Getting Creative With It...

remember these monthly nights??? well this candace decided to do something a little different. so basically we bombarded "color me mine" and overwhelmed their poor employee with our random questions, comments, arguments, and slow painting techniques! lol...
i decided to make a "gnome" to give to my mom since she LOVES collecting them. plus it reminded me of the "amazing race travelocity gnome" and that would remind my mom of me...
concentrate...concentrate...and what do you think helps me to concentrate??? but a "cherry coke from SONIC" of course :)
love these ladies. love these nights (not the LATE ones...lol) love the conversations. love the comedy. love the GNO. love the crafts. but mostly I LOVE THAT THIS TRADITION CONTINUES NO MATTER HOW BUSY REALITY AND LIFE BECOMES!!! xxx

The Cousin Summer School...

every summer when the kids are out for their break, grandma (my mom) does a "summer play/school" for all of the cousins. it's basically an excuse for her to see the grandkids and to be the "super fun" grandparent. they love hanging out with each other, especially when it comes to the weekly day trips that she has planned...
one of the afternoons, they had a trip to "the bingham mine" planned. you'd have thought that after being a resident of utah for so long, we would have made it up the canyon to see its wonder by now but no. even i was excited for this one...
