Kindra's Pre-School Graduation

I thought that this "ensemble" was so perfect that Kindra put together for me for my B-Day present! It says alot about what she loves huh? It was very important to her that "I loved it" and she made sure that I hung it up right by the TV so that we would always see it. Nope...we don't watch too much TV, huh!?!
Miss Kindra Ann Corbridge...the pre-school graduate!
Kindra is a chatterbox and is the social butterfly of the world. I swear, she was more interested in talking to the boys than in doing her performances!

...still talking...

Kindra has a tiny infatuation with this boy who is in her class...Luke...and they talk about each other all of the time. I was actually a little worried last week because Kindra came home very distraught because Luke would not play with her at recess. I know I am paranoid, but I do not want her to ever be insecure about being left out. I am always building her up so that when she is ignored, dumped, ridiculed, exiled, etc.etc. she will not let it break her down.

Can you tell that I've been there, done that?!?
Kindra and her teachers...Miss Courtney, Miss Stephanie, Miss Brenda, and Miss Jenn

Kindra out feeding her obsession...THE HORSES! I have no idea where she got it because I am not a true fan! You would think that she would love some of the same things that I love??? RIGHT!!!

"The Model T" & Another Year On The Green---

Praise the Sun God's for finally giving us a sunny day! We took the kids golfing for the first time on the green and it was perfect weather. It had been the first time this year that I had used what has now been nick-named "The Model T" and the kids were loving it! I was actually surprised when they told me that I had been it's last user since that had been last summer! It's classic, huh?!?
I guess that I should explain a little as to how it all works and enables me to golf...It drives just like a four wheeler gas/brake and the seat swivels around to each side depending on where your ball is. The clubs are a bit longer and your swing is a bit different but other than that...it's all golf!
I was very proud of how well that they did! I really had not planned on golfing a full nine holes but I was impressed! With a little lesson from good old Dad, Carter was on his way...
Now it's Kindra's turn and look how cute she is with her extended leg?!? She is such the golf-chick!

I am a very competitive person and it is now official that the trait has been handed down! Kindra was hilarious! She just had to hit the ball farther and she just had to beat Carter! We were dying and commenting on how in trouble we are. I can hardly wait!?!
Kindra jumped in the drivers seat and was teasing Carter that she was going to drive the cart. Carter was egging her on..."Push the gas Kindra...come on...push the gas." Look at her face!

Don't worry...Trevor made sure that he was also teaching them the proper etiquette and rules of golf like raking up the sand trap. When Kindra first saw it, she thought that it was a giant sandbox and was all ready to go in and dig! When we explained that no, it's a sand trap, then she was scared to go in for fear that she would become trapped forever, as she put it!
Even though I did not actually golf myself this time since this was all about the kids, it was such a fun thing to do! It was fun to drive around and to be able to be right there with them as they were learning and laughing. It is so nice to have an accessible golf cart that I can use and use at any course that I'd like. If I just give them a heads up, they will take it to the course that I'm going to play at. How nice is that?!?

Where Has My Little Bubby Gone?!?

Happy Birthday Carter!

We hoped that the weather would work in our favor since we were going to have an outside party for Carter's birthday and luckily it did! It was a little overcast and cold and jackets were inevitable but it turned out to be a lot of fun!

We got together for a simple BBQ party at a park that we knew had a lot of area for Carter to use one of his new presents at...one of the main things he had asked for...a Scooter!

Everyone within living distance was able to make it but don't worry Lyssa, we still missed The Zimmermans!
Uncle John-Charles, Uncle Mike, and the Birthday Boy!

Aunt Jenny and Carter

Kindra, the chatterbox, connived some nice old man into walking his dog! Honestly!

Daddy and Kindra
Cousins at play
Me and Jenny...

Carter staring in agony at the presents that we were not letting him open...
Dinner is served! Thanks must go to Uncle Ty for being the party chef and to Grammy Corbridge for doing the Costco run!

I thought that this was cute...Grandpa Terry, my Dad, running a race with Kindra who eggs on any type of running, chasing, and teasing! Too sneaky!

Gotcha!

I was amazed and I mean amazed that this picture turned out the way it did...SO CUTE of the Corbridge cousins. Kindra, Alyssa, Carter, and Ben Alyssa and Ben live in northern Idaho and were able to be down to visit at the same time that we had Carter's party planned which made Carter very excited!
Random color of the cake I know but it is his favorite color :)
Present time....Carter's favorite half-hour of the party!

How funny is this that Carter, 25 years later, is receiving the same gift that we did at his age? "Transformers...more than meets the eye"

Cutting the cake....
Such the cute play by play coming from Colin and Abbi!

Carter testing out the most popular present...the Scooter!

This was one of the classic scenes of the day...All three of my brothers, being as old as they are, argueing and telling each other which one's idea of how to properly ride the scooter was correct! Too funny!

Kindra could not and would not be left out! She just had to participate in riding something too!
Testing out the presents once we had arrived home and had the chance to put them together...

...such the cute and histerical laughter...

...Kindra the tease...

Just some "put together the present" Father and Son time...

...even I got in for some baseball hitting time...

Kindra said the best statement..."I am not the best at this game so I hate it!" so we had to have a talk about being a sore loser and what that means exactly. Competive ya think?!? I wonder where she got that character trait from??? hehehe

Notice the horse that we found to put onto her bike?!?
Carter all styled out with his Scooter, his protective gear, and the most important thing...his Vans shoes!

Such a fun weekend and such a fun party!

Carter you are my loving and obedient child who continually achieves to do what is right and to always make correct decisions. You help me with our errands and you are always looking out for your Mom. You always ask me to take care of you and your Mom loves to be needed. You are Kindra's best-friend and that is so important! You remind me when we've not done some of the things that we should be doing and I appreciate and need that.

I can not imagine life or our family without you! I love you very much, Carter! Happy 7th Birthday and we hope that you had a wonderful day!
