My Friend Fionna Gave Me The Best Birthday Present Ever!!!

There is something about the fire that gets racing within me whenever I get into a fight with someone over a handicap parking issue. DEEP DOWN I Love it!

WELL IT HAPPENED AGAIN LAST NIGHT and YES. Once again at Thanksgiving Point. I am seriously boycotting them, complaining to The Thanksgiving Point Parking System, and complaining to the Larry H Miller Entertainment Group entity and taking this up with the BIG DOGS! If they wanted to buy a cinema that does not have the proper accessible access, then they need to do some renovations to get it up to par! It is just lazy, ignorant, and selfish when it has gone this long with numerous complaints about the issue for them to have not fixed the situation. It's not hard. Just make an additional ramp that is not located in a crossed off line that still tempts "the elite ones" to park there.

This guy was a "you know what" too. He was high on something. Thirty something. Fit into the profile. Tried to be tough with me and just did not get it.

"I have a permit so I am OK!"

"I know that you have a permit to park in a parking stall. Not in a section that has been lined off to mean NO PARKING!"

He then came back with a "Well I totally know what you go thru...." and I stopped him right there. That excuse always pisses me off!

"Really? Do you live in a wheelchair? Are you paralyzed?" Harsh I know but much deserved.

"Well no and no but..."

"No you don't so don't even try to say that you understand how I feel! Don't park like this again please. Just promise me that you will not be so ignorant and selfish when it comes to this issue."

"Fine. I won't...."

"Thank you and since I know now your car, next time I'm not giving you the chance to make it right. I promise that next time there will be no yelling match between the two of us but instead your call WILL GET KEYED and BAD SO DON'T RISK IT and JUST TEMPT ME!

Fionna and Drew were laughing and cracking up as they watched Trevor and I tag team him both with name calling, telling him how it is, and laying down the law when it came to the things that I would do when I found him next.

The reason why I got so fired up was because yeah...I would have been able to get down with help but there was this old man with one of those chair walkers waiting because he could not get down since he was alone. I get so annoyed when I see people being so ignorant, selfish, and acting like they are better and more deserving than the rest of us!

But once again, as we drove home, we were just laughing so hard! Fionna and I are 2/2 when it comes to that place. 2 visits with 2 fights. So oh my. What will it be next???

But I need to remember to always be mature, act calm, stay professionally angry but get my point across. No more name calling. No more trying to put them down but just simply prove my point.

And fine.
I love fighting with words and especially when it comes to an issue like this and one that is so close to my heart. I love getting my blood boiling. I love a good confrontation. I love proving my point. The best part was that once again, I was with Fionna who always calmly backs me up but this time I had Trevor stepping up and being all defensive for me so he takes the cake this time for "getting my back"!

But still. It was Fionna's decision to go there and see "The Terminator" (which I enjoyed but those who have the "know it all" when it comes to the 1st and 2nd movies, have not loved it so it's a toss up?) But back to Fionna, it's nice to be with someone who will always have your back and help you out when needed. There is something to be said about the way you feel after a good yell out fight. You realize that you still have that fire within you and that you should never feel like anyone is allowed to walk all over you. It's refreshing and for me it is much needed!

Remember...they didn't call me the "Trickery Terry Sister" in college for nothing. I could tell you stories but that will be for another post! Have a good night and just continue to laugh with me about all of these squabbles that I love to get myself into! :)

I Admit It...I Am A LOST Junkie!

if the bomb did explode then whatever happens in the future, won't happen...meaning that the bomb explodes 30 yrs in the past, so Jacob can not be killed in the future because it never would have happened.

if the arch nemesis of Jacob is so smart and is pretending to be "the good" Locke, then why would he not get rid of the body?

Allana is visited by Jacob and she already knows who he is so who is she???

and i know that we have not seen the last of "the good" Locke!

who REALLY is Richard??? and he knows something...more than we think. his quote?

and i think Juliette could be pregnant.

and notice that when Allana burns the cabin because "someone else has been using it" she takes a drawing of a god in black. so who is controlling Christian, Charlie, and Claire?

i know. i am a dork. i just watch this episode over and over because there are so many secrets and questions that i've got...

poor Juliette! see i really think that she is pregnant because she paused, then touched her stomach, when asked by Bernard if she wanted some tea!

i think that the bomb did go off and that they will all go back to LAX. but even then, they will still crash on the island because it is their destiny. it also needs to be Jack/Kate and Sawyer/Juliette on the love boat situation. go Juliette (even though she bugged me when she was with Jack)!!!

poor Sawyer loses everyone that he loves. can he please get a break?

i don't know if i can wait until next season? ok. i can but i don't want to! and yes. just a little more of my thinking out loud.
:)

She's DONE!!!

Congratulations Jenny!!! It will only get better from here on out especially since you landed a job with Lone Peak High school! How lucky are they to get you?!?

Has It REALLY Been 8 Years?!?!

" Flashback Time" is here once again...

No. This is not what my lower half is looking like these days. This is my proof that when I was pregnant with Carter, I had Toxemia and it was horrific! One day I just woke up like this and it got worse and worse before it got any better!

More proof. This was Mothers Day 2001 and yes...that heifer is me. I told you....worse and worse!
We had just got back from a boating trip down to Lake Mead and I thought that the swelling was due to the heat and the sun. I had the worse headache known to man and I luckily already had a doctors appointment. I was only at 32 weeks so the worry of having this baby had not even been created yet. I was all by myself when they said "You need to be admitted right now. You're having this baby because you have a serious case of Toxemia!" What?????? I started crying and freaking out and immediately called Trevor who did the same. I distinctly remember driving up to the old LDS Hospital and thinking out loud "I'm not ready. I'm not ready to have this baby. I'm not ready yet for what I'm in for." I was so scared....

An emergency C Section later brought me my son Carter James Corbridge born on May 24, 2001 weighing 3lbs 7oz and he was perfect. Everything was how it should be. As soon as he weighed 5lbs, he would be able to come home.
You have no idea how hard it was for me to leave the hospital without my son. Every time I left, I cried. I'm serious. That place became my home for the next 4 wks. I lived there just sitting by him or holding him as he slept or ate. Words can not describe how I felt the day we brought him home! I finally felt complete again!
Now. You know how serious I am when it comes to my movie going? Well I had to install those same emotions into my son so this is a picture of his first movie ever!

Carter on his first birthday...

This picture was taken on his blessing day. We finally got things in order and gave him one. How ironic is it that exactly 7 days later our family would never be the same? Isn't that kind of weird? ie...My car accident! :(
That was the hardest thing about being in the hospital. Not being able to hold my son. Not being the one who he cried for. Not being able to give him my undivided attention. It broke my heart.
But now, as hard as it was? It turned out just fine :)
I still can't believe that Carter is 8 yrs old!
Carter was so excited to take his class donuts for his birthday party treat! He was so proper when he was handing them out. Who knows where he learned that because it's rare around our house! :)

Grandma and Grandpa Corbridge were going to be out of town for his "real" birthday party so they gave him an early one...SPOILED!!!

It's PARTY TIME...

...his new bike
...his new skateboard-y thing-y

Happy Birthday Carter! We love you very much!
