the haunted underground gardening shed

ok so real quick. i heard the best neighborhood "rumor" this afternoon and it cracked me up, though it did not surprise me.
one of my favorite people, remember her? well her twin sons started the haunted gossip of all time. so this place that we love to go, has now been designated as the haunted and secret underground shed that can not be photographed...and ever! rumor has it that if you try to take a picture down here, the camera will not work. lol. yeah. so i had to bust out some proof that it in fact can be photographed. another one of our neighbors had to do the same thing to show her kids that it was only a rumor, not a creepy haunted place.
i was laughing so hard when i heard this and i am so not surprised of who started this teasing and funny rumor. i love these boys. they were in my 5th grade class and were always making me giggle. it's all about the imagination and it's all about seeing what you can get people to believe at that age so good job frampton twins cause you started it and got it going from house to house and even better....the kids believed it!
anyway....just thought it was too funny the ideas that can get started, get going around the neighborhood, and especially when kids actually believe it! gotta love that age!

I Have A 9 Yr Old?!?!?

i know. i can't believe it. my "bubby" ie. carter is 9! i am in complete denial. i'm not that old! not old enough to have a 9yr old!?! how can i be that old?!? i don't feel that old. i mean my "soul" does not feel that old and i know for a fact that i don't act that old! (i wonder if my own mom felt this same way on our birthdays growing up? hmmmm?)

anyway, i can't remember if i've said exactly what happened when carter was born. his birth was not nearly as drama filled as kindra's, but it still was not "simple". something about me and a "delivery date" just does not go.....

the weekend before he was born, we had been down at lake mead and las vegas for the supercross race. i began to get extremely bloated but thought that it was because of the heat. we got home and i went to bed with the worst headache ever. again i thought that it had been caused from the stress of travel but it was still around when i woke up. luckily that afternoon, i had a doctors apt so i remember waking up, getting in the shower, pulling my wet hair back, putting comfy clothes on, and headed up to slc to the doctor.

as soon as they got me checked in and checked my blood pressure, they knew that something was not right. they took it again while also checking the protein in my urine, which was also high, hence the horrible headache. they hurried me in to a room and the doctor immediately came in and said "well, it looks like your son wants to come early. you need to go right up to lds hospital and check in because we're going to have to do an emergency c section". yeah. i freaked out. my due date was not for 2 months, i didn't have an overnight bag, i didn't look cute for those perfect delivery pics lol, and i didn't even have my husband with me. yeah. freaking out. i ran right out, called and picked up trevor, and headed up to the hospital. i specifically remember saying "i'm not ready for this. i'm not ready to have this baby" but it did no good. the nurses did everything possible to see if i could wait as long as my body could without having to deliver carter but that too did not work. the next afternoon, my emergency c section was scheduled. the main nurse, who ended up being my favorite, was getting so annoyed because there were so many friends and family there to see me and it was causing my blood pressure to sky rocket. lol. "c section party in terry's room" thomas kept saying.

the minute the anesthesiologist came in to give me the epidural, i began bawling. i was so scared. i knew that it was going to be death pain. i guess the bloating fatness helped cause it did not hurt at all. phew....but i was still scared to death. the next thing i remember was being woken up when someone turned on the lights in my room. all i wanted to do was sleep so i was a little bitchy i'm afraid. lol shocking huh?!? i was so surprised that it was over. it seemed like only seconds. a few minutes later they brought in carter who was to remain nameless for a few weeks. i wanted hayden or daxton and trevor wanted conner but none of those names fit.

carter was perfect. i thought he was perfect. he had a perfecting rounded head. his nose was a perfect "sainsbury" nose. he was so petite and he looked like a little man. all i could do was giggle with excitement.

i went home and it was like a miracle cure. it's like the bloated fat literally melted away and i was my "normal" body self again. i was so freaking happy and ready to handle the commute back and forth to the hospital that would last for exactly one month. between the 3rd and 4th week, every time i left the hospital, i cried like a baby. i wanted him home so bad and it was like leaving half of me at the nicu every time. i did not feel whole without him.

finally on june 24, 2001, carter came home.

****i just found this from last year, LOL, so here it is again!?!****

so fast forward nine years. birthdays are always great to reflect on the events or milestones that you and your children have experienced together. it really makes you appreciate and realize just how far you've come. i love my son...of course i love my son and i could not imagine life without him. he is my "jobber" and my "helper of america". he loves "projects" like his mom does and he'll always be game to take on a new one! i love our nightly routine of saying "i love you...don't let the bed bugs bite", his silly questions that he asks at night, and the muffled "i love you" that he declares from underneath his blankets.

"oh carter, my little bubby. i love you so much!"

a little LOST

i know that i've used the title "i'm lost without LOST" but i am. i know. you don't need to even tell me. it's because it's tuesday and tuesday = LOST.

one of my favorite things to do is to analyze and especially when it comes to something like this. i came home sunday night after it was over with some tear stained cheeks for a number of reasons. i loved the reunions! especially sawyer and juliettes and of course charlie, claire, and aarons but what got me the most was the last scene.

i don't know what it was but as soon as jack realized what was going on and as soon as he started crying, tears just came out of nowhere. his emotions, the dialogue, the questions, the understanding, and the end. it all got me. i really loved how they tied a number of "faiths" into one. not targeting or segregating, but leaving you to believe for yourself what it was that jack was going through.

wow. i came home, watched jimmy kimmel, and started watching it again. it will stay on my tivo for as long as it can and i will watch it as many times as i can. i will forever be addicted.

like i said. it's tuesday and tuesday = LOST and that's over. that is what makes it feel like a breakup. it makes you sad. you remember the good. you wish it could be back in your life.

lol but like life, you are always able to find something to replace it with. ok not always. sometimes. (and no. this one is not going to be replaced!!!)

anyway. so great and so glad that it went out like it did......

"Let's Go For A Walk..."

We finally had some perfect weather over the weekend to go for a walk and of course we headed over to our favorite place.....
We found some old bamboo sticks so I tried to teach/show the kids my old baton twirling skills. It was way too funny especially when Kindra reeeally thought that she had got it all down and put on a show for us! Awesome.....

The gardeners shed that is hidden in the ground is still a bit scary for Kindra but she at least tried....

Every year I find a new "something" that always interests me. This day was a shrub/bush that reminded me of "Ramon" noodles and Johnny Depps "Mad-Hatter" hair....lol....I'm serious. Look at it.

Did I mention that I love Spring and how gorgeous everything is after only seeing grey and white for so long. It is so fresh, bright, and alive!

Our races...

....and the resting underneath our favorite HUGE tree.
Just another one of the random adventures that we go on. The ones that I hope they'll remember with fond memories and instilling the adventurism that their Mom has always had.

xoxoxo

An Oldie But Still A Goodie...In My Eyes That Is!

Snap..."Cult of Snap" One of the best songs from the late 80's. And yes. This is where it all started....holla!

Spring Break 2010

we had to start off Spring Break the right way....a camp-out sleepover!
the construction of the "new tree-house" compared to last years version...lol

grrrrr.....
kindra had no desire to start over once half of it fell down so off to the tramp she went....
"oh, i'm just exhausted from all of this hard work!"
really?!?

the door...
the fire-pit...

ok so i could not help but post these pictures! it was way too funny. this is all that kindra could give me of a smile cause she said that she was "blinded" by the sun. yeah. her face is perfect! i was laughing so hard especially since shot after shot, they all turned out the same. so funny!

the finished product. roof, skateboard ramp, and all.....

let's not forget to mention that out of the 7 days, all were snowing and freezing except 1.5 of them. grrrrrr just like last year! can you say "cabin fever"!?!
