Our Second Annual....

It's now official. Thomas and I have another "annual" activity that we do! I know. Seriously. The two of us are always looking for something new! Every summer, when she comes up from Vegas, we ride up to the points windmill, which has some killer hills....

This year we got a lot more adventurous and we rode clear out to Camp Williams, down Redwood Rd, through the quiet roads of old Lehi, and back to her parents house. I have no idea what the miles were that we ended up doing, but I know that the next day my arms could definately feel the journey! lol....

Ok so the best part of this little adventure was that we found the "old bridge" in Lehi. This is the famous bridge that was in the movie "Footloose". I can honestly say that this was the first time that I had been out here! We are now 2 more that can say that "we've been here"! haha

But that was not the funny part.

So the pavement on the bridge is a mixture of old and new asphalt and so it is bumpier than no other. As I was going over one of the bumps...sssssskkkkkkkk??? Yep. Completely high centered and laughing so hard! I'd have been screwed if I had been alone so yes. Thomas had to come and push me off of it. Waaay too perfect and exactly the kinds of things that happen when she and I are together!!! :)

Some Tramp Time...

this picture makes me laugh. kindra giving carter the most annoyed look EVER! oh kin. smile.

we decided to have a picnic out on the tramp since we had never done that before. i, of course, needed some help up but we did it! we even played a little "crack the egg" :)

"i'm dead i'm so full...."

we have been trying to do as much as we can before it gets too cold. i am kind of freaking out that the "cold" is coming! this is when i wish i had a winter home down south. haa haa haa rrrright!?!

i can't believe how big my kids are. how can kindra be 8? how can carter be 10? i will admit that it does make me feel very old and i hate that! in my heart, i'm not old so i guess that's what i'll hold on too. but still. i've made a conscious decision to try and be more "home-maker-ish". um. yeah. i'll keep you posted and get back to you on that......

Yep. She's Mine...

i'm not really sure how or why it even happened, but while i was gone and the kids were staying at grandma's, kindra discovered her new obsession. anyway, we'll leave that story for another post.

so today while she was watching an episode, they were describing one of the contestants....

show---"miss sheeatsu spends her time training to become the next warrior though she loves her career as a tutor...."

kindra watches as this woman fails the challenge and says "we'll yeah. she should lose if all she does during the day is toot. toot. toot. who does that anyway???" and then she wiggled her butt.

i have no idea what she is talking about and all i can do is give her a "huh...?"

kindra---"mom. they also said she was a toot-er during the day. you know? a farter. duh."

all i could do was giggle once i explained to her what it really means to be a tutor but still. you've got to love the literal innocence of a child!
