by far, the best body maneuvers are done while playing the wii or the playstation. case in point...check out these pics. lol. growing up, with "gameboys", our parents we laugh at our facial expressions and then with the nintendo, the arm actions, the jumping, and the tongue comedy were all too classic. anyway, my kids have also been handed down the trait :)
and of course we had to carry on the banging of the pot and pan tradition. ready. set. GO!

Christmas 2011...

my pinterest wreath that i made and my favorite christmas santa. this was actually my dad's santa growing up and was on this very porch every year since 1962. no lie :) and yipee!!! NO SNOW!!!

our christmas GNO over at rachel's home. she made us the best dinner and we had so much fun plus a night of much needed girl talk! LOVE these ladies! :)

The New Family Tradition...

what an AWESOME christmas that we had this year. every year, "heart 2 home" organizes a "sub for santa" project helping almost 50 families. this year they helped a group of single mom's that are attending the local university finally getting their degree.

i was so excited for this new tradition and couldn't wait to pay it forward! we turned it into a learning lesson for the kids and had them get involved as much as they possibly could. we went shopping for "family night" and had them choose the gifts for the kids that were their age. they couldn't wait for the infamous "drop the gifts, ring the doorbell, and RUUUUN"! i was so proud of how excited they got with our new tradition and how they embraced the acts of service. it's definitely going to be an annual event at our house! :)
getting ready for our night of delivery. the kids were so pumped and this made my heart full of pure joy! to see them understanding why we were doing it! ahhhh proud parent moment...
as i went around to local boutiques, shops, and department stores, i was so impressed with how willing people are to help. my faith in human kind was once again restored, seeing how excited others got with what we were doing. i think that it's easy to forget that the world is not all evil. we see so many horribly disgusting things that people do and we tend to corral all into a selfish group that will not help others. sadly, we become over paranoid. well not true. this was a testament that there are so many who believe in the acts of service and what it does both for the receiver and the giver.


MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! we can't wait for next year!!! xx
