It's Officially Official!!!

look what came in the mail today! i can't wait for this awesome experience. to be able to participate in this great annual event. to be able to tell my kids, my family, my posterity all about it. that i actually did it. me, katie terry, the paralyzed woman who was told in the beginning that she would probably need 24 hr care for the rest of her life. i did the boston marathon and that i'm not planning on stopping there! who knows what is next. i don't even. i never would have thought that i'd have done most of the things that i have been able to do. when the first door was opened, it was more like a flood gate, and the possibilities became endless. an idea would became an obsession and the accomplishment would become personally inspiring. i saw the fire that it lit within and i saw the fire that it lit within others and that is what i loved the most. how it felt inside of my soul to see how my simple and selfish acts created something bigger that inspired others to look farther and to dig deeper within. to see the light in their eyes because of something i'd said or done that inspired them to try a little harder or to never give up.
