Welcome To The Game...

it was FREEZING! i had hand warmers in my gloves but still my fingers were numb. it was even hard to shift because the feeling was non existent!?
woot woot! i finished with my best personal time of 1hr 43min. i swear, this course seemed harder than the st george marathon course but don't quote me on that. lol

the only problem with marathons that have a full and a half is that we, me, catch up to the half marathon runners and have to worry about weaving in and out between them. i was so frustrated and did not want to slow down so i finally just said screw it and went around to the left of the barricades. so stupid since it was not a closed course and provo canyon can get pretty busy with semis's and trailers. in fact, mid race, i asked myself "why am i doing this? what is the point in doing these open course marathons? i'm over this...." but i was very excited with my finish time, 1st in my division, and 3rd overall.

of course trevor and the kids were there, but i was excited that my parents and my little sister lyssa, who was visiting from washington state, could be there!

yep. i LOVE the playing field! and we'll see what THAT means?!
