the magic of christmas...

kindra and i were out running errands this afternoon. it was the perfect timing to turn on the radio and listen to some christmas music. they kept playing the random "bla bla" christmas songs and kindra was not pleased. all that she wanted to hear was "rudolph the red nosed reindeer". i explained that i could not control what they played on the radio.
"just cross your fingers and believe" was what i told her. yes, it was a very risky move on my part because it could have completely back fired on me. yes. i know this. but lucky for me that as we made the turn on to 300 north, the magic of christmas came in my favor as the song began to play.
if you could have seen her smile as we sang to it at the top of our lungs, it was priceless.
these are the moments that make any parents heart melt. the magic of christmas that we see happening for our kids. the magic of christmas that we see in the many miracles of the holiday season.
anyway, so much fun. so great! my heart filled with warmth and the hope that this would be one of the very vivid memories that my kindra could have when she thinks back on her childhood and it's christmas magic.
